Q & A with JOSHUA

a. Where are you from?

I was Raised in Baltimore, MD, but lived the majority of my adult life in Chicago. Currently I reside in Michigan.

b. Instagram name

@fit_twindad

c. What motivates you to train?

Seeing progress keeps me motivated, no matter how small the progress.

d. What’s your greatest success in lifting?

My greatest success would have occurred this month as it would have been my first time competing in Men’s physique. Covid-19 and a few other things delayed hope to compete in the fall. Other than that, I had some shoulder issues a few years ago and was able to overcome with therapy and no surgery and I came back stronger than before.

e. What music do you listen to when training?

I listen to motivational speakers when I workout. I feel that it’s building me up mentally as I build myself up physically. It’s also a great way to start off the day as I usually lift first thing in the morning.

f. Who is your weightlifting inspiration?

Damien Patrick and Mike Chan

g. Do you have any shout outs or people you’d like to thank?

@beastlybluejay who is my brother. He used to make fun of me because I had box shoulders like ‘Phil Jackson’ and I was skinny. He did it out of love but it got me started in the gym. Also, endurance fitness Kentwood because it’s a great gym with great people.
