Q & A with TONY BEYER

a. Where are you from?

Born & Raised in Chicago, IL (Currently in South Florida)

b. Instagram name

@beyer.fit

c. What motivates you to train?

When I was 11 years old my grandma had a stroke in front of me. She never fully recovered from it and my family and I spent the last 8 years of her life taking care of her. She took care of everyone except herself, was very overweight, and I believe she could have recovered from or avoided the stroke altogether had she taken better care of herself. I’m motivated to train because that made me realize that it’s not about the length of the life you live but rather the quality in which you live it.

d. What’s your greatest success in lifting?

Just recently I set a new 1RM on the Romanian Deadlift (530 lbs). A be accomplishment for be considering I couldn’t even lift 315 a couple years ago.

e. What music do you listen to when training?

Mostly hip-hop and rap. I listen to a lot of Eminem.

f. Who is your weightlifting inspiration?

I have a friend name Michael Wittig who is my inspiration. He is 42 years old and wins natural bodybuilding competitions against kids half his age.

g. Do you have any shout outs or people you’d like to thank?

I’d like to thank Michael @wittigworks hfor his inspiration and my workout buddy Claudia @57lclaudia for pushing me in the gym.
