Wrist Wraps for Lifters Whose Wrists Take a Beating
Heavy pressing loads your wrists every rep. When the bar drifts back and your wrist bends, the strain lands on a small joint that was never meant to carry that weight alone. A good wrist wrap keeps your wrist stacked under the bar, so the load travels down your forearm instead of folding your wrist back.
That's what Rip Toned wrist wraps are built to do. They don't treat injuries or medical conditions. They give your wrists more support and stability while you train.
Stiff or Flex: Which One Fits Your Training?
Stiff wraps: maximum lockdown
Pick Stiff if your wrists bend back under heavy bench, overhead press or max-effort singles. The firmer material holds your wrist in a neutral position when the weight gets heavy.
Flex wraps: support with movement
Pick Flex for high-rep sets, CrossFit, push-ups and dynamic work, where you want support but still need your wrists to move.
Both are 18 inches long with a thumb loop and hook-and-loop closure, come in one adjustable size for men and women, and are USPA and USAPL approved for competition.
How to Wear Them
- Put your thumb through the loop and start the wrap at the base of your palm.
- Wrap toward your forearm so the wrap covers the wrist joint itself.
- Go snug for heavy sets and looser for warm-ups.
- Take them off between sets. If your fingers tingle or go numb, loosen the wrap.
When to See a Professional
Wrist wraps are training gear, not a medical device. If you have sharp pain, swelling, numbness that doesn't go away, or pain that gets worse as you warm up, stop training that movement and see a doctor or physiotherapist before you lift on it again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will wrist wraps stop my wrists from hurting?
Wraps support your wrist and help keep it in a strong position under load, and many lifters find heavy pressing feels more comfortable with them. They don't fix the cause of ongoing pain. If pain sticks around, get it checked.
Stiff or Flex if my wrists feel sore?
Stiff gives the most support on heavy presses. Flex suits lighter, high-rep or dynamic training. Many lifters own both.
Should I wear wraps all day?
No. Wear them for your working sets and take them off between sets and after training.
What if the wraps feel worse?
Loosen or remove them. If it still hurts, stop that movement and get your wrist looked at.
Built to Last
