Q & A with ADAM

a. Where are you from?

Kokomo, Indiana

b. Instagram Name

@awelsh34

c. What motivates you to train?

I have made many terrible decisions in my life. Training is the time I can forget about anything and live in the here and now. I want to be 1 step better today than yesterday.

d. What’s your greatest success in bodybuilding?

My greatest success is sharing the passion I have developed with my 18 year old son. Seeing him find that 2nd gear to push through anything and train with everything motivates me to push even harder.

e. What music do you listen to when training?

My taste in Training music varies by the day. You can find me listening to classical music on leg day or Metal core on arm day. Normally you will find me listening to a mix playlist I made that has a little bit of everything (except country)

f. Who are your bodybuilding inspiration?

My father is 100% my inspiration. I remember when I was a kid he would get up, train, and be home before we even woke up. He did that so his Training never got in the way of him being a father. He is 74 now and still trains 4 days a week.

g. What are your dreams and or what excites you?

What drives me more than anything is helping people. As a recovering addict I've been at the lowest of lows and I know what not wanting to live looks like. I Love reaching out my hand to anyone in need and helping however I can. I love speaking to people in hopes that my story can help change theirs. I dream of becoming a motivational speaker who gets to help people all over the world.

h. Do you have any shout outs or people you’d like to thank?

I always have to thank my Lord and Savior for without Him I definitely wouldn't still be here. A huge shout out to my beautiful bride @lanajwelsh who has stood by my side through the good, the bad, and the terrible I have put my family through. She also is and always will be my favorite workout partner.
