Q & A with Meaghan Allen
a. Where are you from?
Dallas, TX
b. Instagram name
c. What motivates you to train?
SO many things…bottom line I really just LOVE lifting! It pushes me to be better, it teaches me so many skills that I can apply to other areas of life. It’s brought me through some really dark times, and helped me beat addiction. I keep going as I age because honestly I don’t want to be all old and crumbly when I’m elderly – my muscles and my BONES will be so strong!! Training keeps me feeling good, helps me sleep better, and lowers my stress levels. I love it!!

d. What’s your greatest success in lifting?
Continuing to get stronger over time, even though I’ve been lifting since I was 13! And especially right now – I am 4 months post-op after having a hip arthroscopy (labral repair) and am way ahead of schedule! Staying on the safe side and progressing slower than I feel I can, but am still way far ahead where I thought I would be at this point. Super pumped about that!
e. What music do you listen to when training?
EDM – Hardstyle & Dubstep
f. Who is your weightlifting inspiration?
I honestly don’t really have one! There are people I follow on IG who are cool but I wouldn’t say anyone in particular is my weightlifting inspiration
g. Do you have any shout outs or people you’d like to thank?
My coach Ryan Milton @teamfflex – he has been my bodybuilding coach since 2018 and has stuck with me through all kinds of things since then, including my hip surgery! Also my meal prep company @megafitmeals – thanks for FUELING ME for 4 years straight! Lastly to my physical therapist @matt_pt_dip_mdt, and chiropractic team @citychirosportscenter for helping me keep my body moving as smoothly as possible!
